Satellite Loop State Outlook for A trough was producing rain and showers across the state, trending to drizzle at a few centres by later morning, as a low pressure system to the southeast moved eastwards over the Tasman Sea. Fresh to strong southwesterly winds were reported through most areas with gale force winds along parts of the east coast and through Bass Strait. Moderate swells were reported in the west and south, tending lower elsewhere.
